We rely on you and on your child's own signals. At the intake call we ask how your child indicates discomfort, fear, or a need to stop, and we watch for exactly those cues. We also use visual supports, gestures, and whatever communication system your child already uses at home or school. Please bring a device or picture cards if your child uses them.

What should I bring to the first appointment?

A current medication list, your child's medical history and any relevant specialist contacts, and anything that helps your child feel settled — headphones, a weighted blanket, a preferred toy, a tablet.
