Dr. Liy grew up on Florida’s west coast in Naples and Marco Island, where most of his free time was spent on the water, fishing, or at the beach. He stayed in Florida for college, earning a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of Miami, then headed to New York City to attend Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. There he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree, and his classmates elected him class president.
Dr. Liy chose dentistry because it is a unique blend of art and science, and a career built around helping others. Orthodontics stood out because it lets him do two things at once: create beautiful smiles, and intercept or correct functional bite problems so those smiles last a lifetime. To become an orthodontic specialist, he completed his residency at Roseman University of Health Sciences, where he earned a Certificate in Orthodontics along with a Master of Business Administration (MBA). He has also completed extensive training in Invisalign® and clear aligner treatment and brings seven years of experience to every patient he sees.

With nervous kids, that means meeting them where they are emotionally and making every visit as positive as possible. With parents, it means education first. He makes sure everyone understands where treatment stands today and where it is headed next.
When it is time to make a decision, Dr. Liy lays out the options and tradeoffs, then gives his honest recommendation: what he would choose if it were his own child. Many families worry about adjusting to braces or appliances and how long treatment will take. In his experience, the process is usually easier and quicker than they expected, and many wonder why they didn’t start sooner.
What he loves most is the relationships built along the way. Watching a child’s confidence grow alongside a new smile is, in his words, as fulfilling as the result itself. Dr. Liy joined Celebration Pediatric Dentistry to be part of a team and culture that cares deeply for its patients and community, and he admires that the office keeps looking for ways to improve, even though it is already a fantastic place for kids.
Outside of the Office
Dr. Liy and his wife, Tiffany, have two children, Vivienne and Victor, and two very fluffy Siberian Forest cats, Sebastian and Clementine. He is a devoted University of Miami football fan (Go Canes!) and cheers for the Tampa Bay Lightning (Go Bolts!). Having grown up near the water, he still loves fishing and a good beach day. He and Tiffany enjoy traveling together and consider themselves amateur foodies, always on the lookout for the next great restaurant.
